Last weekend we decided to revisit the old house with some models. I managed to get Mariel McAllan from model mayhem and Gillian got her cousin Leah Blackburn my all time favourite model.
My main aim was to shoot stills purely on film using B&W film. This meant indoors I would need iso 1600 speed and so I pushed my Fuji Neopan 400 2 stops. Outdoors I was using for the first time Ilford FP4 which Gillian bought from college at an amazing price. I also decided to bring some Kodak Portra 400 which I also pushed 2 stops. I brought along my Sony A77 DSLT camera to film behind the scenes with Gillian and Cheryl.
I decided on the look of the shoot and Cheryl asked the girls to bring some grungy clothes and between them all we had a few outfits for the shoot. We had organised a make up artist but she had to pull out at the last minute. Luckily Leah being a hairdresser was also a dab hand at make up and a quick trip to Gillian's we had everything we needed.
The shoot was freezing as always so blankets and dressing gowns kept the models warm in between shoots. Both models were excellent and required very little direction which is a really good thing but these days we keep a load of images that the models can refer to if they run out of ideas.
